fa.ma ATELIER is an architecture studio working between landscape and city, between private commissions and public buildings. The work is grounded in patient observation — of a site, of how people move, of what materials do over time.
We treat each project as a conversation. The brief is a starting point; the building is the result of a long negotiation between client, climate, budget and place. We design slowly, draw a lot, and prefer the right answer to the fast one.
The studio is based in Porto, and works on projects across Portugal and occasionally further afield. We welcome clients with a long view and a willingness to be surprised by their own brief.
